Classroom Expectations
Classroom Expectations

Dear Parents,

In order for all children in our class to learn, they need rules and guidelines to follow. Without this structure, the behavior of some children may distract others, prohibiting them from learning. I'm sure you desire your child to become all he/she can be. With your support of our classroom discipline system, I will be better able to teach and help your child reach his/her potential. Please become familiar with the guidelines below, so that you can give them support at home. Thanks!!

The first grade at Pawtuckett uses the Responsible Classroom Management Program. This program is designed to make sure that students are held responsible for their actions. All students are expected to observe the following guidelines.

  1. I will come to school with my homework, folder, and will always try my best.

  2. I will follow my teacher's directions quickly and with a good attitude.
  3. I will stay in my seat.
  4. I will listen so I can hear all directions.
  5. I will speak at appropriate time.
  6. I will follow the directions of any adult in school.
  7. I will treat all adults in the school with respect.

You will be contacted if your child is having difficulty following these guidelines. Please discuss with your child what it means to be a responsible student. I appreciate your cooperation and support with our behavior program. If these guidelines are not followed, I will use logical consequences.
